Here at The Becoming, we know that every church has a culture. Rather than allowing our feelings, upbringing, or the standards of our society to take the lead, our goal is to intentionally and consistently communicate, demonstrate, and celebrate the culture we want to see.
Jesus is our message
We are called to Jesus before anything else.
People are our hearts
Jesus is for people which means we are for people.
Unity is our pursuit
We don't face in to keep out, we face out so we can invite in.
Generosity is our opportunity
Generosity is our opportunity.
Excellence is our mindset
We don't settle for what works, we push for what can be better.
Joy is our decision
Circumstances don't decide our posture.
Serving is our calling
Serving isn't an option, it's a calling.
Honor is our choice
We don't tear down we build up.
Passion is our standard
Our passion isn't determined by others it's determined by us.
Our City is our responsibility
We are not a church just in the city but a church for the city.
At The Becoming Church, we adhere steadfastly to the foundational teachings of the orthodox Christian faith. While our understanding of God is profound yet not exhaustive, we believe in knowing Him with accuracy and authenticity. Our unity is grounded in essential beliefs, avoiding disputes over minor issues, and always turning to scripture for clarity and direction.
Holy Bible
The Bible stands as the singular authoritative Word of God, shaping all doctrinal truths with its inspired, infallible, and inerrant teachings. (II Timothy 3:16; II Peter 1:20-21; Proverbs 30:5; Romans 16:25-26)
Trinity
One God eternally manifests in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, coequal and coeternal. (I John 5:7; Genesis 1:26; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 9:6; Hebrews 3:7-11)
Jesus Christ
Fully God and fully man, Jesus led a sinless life on earth. He was virgin-born, performed miracles, was crucified for our sins, resurrected on the third day, and will return in power. (John 1:1,14, 20:28; I Timothy 3:16; Isaiah 9:6; Philippians 2:5-6; I Timothy 2:5)
Virgin Birth
Jesus was divinely conceived by the Holy Spirit within the Virgin Mary, designating Him as the Son of God. (Matthew 1:18, 25; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 7:14)
Redemption
Humanity's only hope of redemption lies in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. (Genesis 1:26-31, 3:1-7; Romans 5:12-21)
Regeneration
Knowing God demands a rebirth through the Holy Spirit. (John 6:44, 65; Matthew 19:28; Titus 3:5)
Salvation
It's by grace through faith in Jesus Christ that we attain salvation, a gift not earned by our deeds. (Ephesians 2:8-9; Galatians 2:16; Romans 10:9-10)
Repentance
True repentance means turning away from sin and embracing Christ, which leads to salvation. (Acts 2:21, 3:19; I John 1:9)
Sanctification
Through the Holy Spirit and God's Word, believers continually refine their character to align with Christ's. (I Thessalonians 4:3; II Corinthians 3:18)
Jesus' Blood
Jesus' sinless blood, shed on the Cross, purifies humanity from all sin. (I John 1:7; Revelation 1:5)
Jesus Indwells All Believers
By inviting Jesus into our lives and accepting Him as Savior and Lord, believers are indwelt by the Holy Spirit. (John 1:12; Romans 8:11)
Baptism in the Holy Spirit
Post-Ascension, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit at Pentecost to empower the Church. (Joel 2:28-29; Acts 1:5, 2:1-4)
Gifts of the Holy Spirit
These gifts, given by the Holy Spirit, edify and sanctify the church, confirm the Gospel, and are sought after by believers. (Hebrews 2:4; I Corinthians 12:1-31)
The Church
All believers, reborn in spirit, form the Body of Christ, the Church. (Ephesians 1:22, 2:19-22)

God desires wholeness for believers in all life facets. (John 3:3-11; Philippians 4:7-8, 4:19)
Resurrection
Jesus' physical resurrection foretells the resurrection of the saved to eternal life and the lost to damnation. (Luke 24:16; I Corinthians 15:42)
